Quick Check-in!

Things have been crazy busy around here so I haven't had a chance to write. I wanted to thank everyone for  the supportive, kind, wonderful comments on my bathing suit post! We didn't end up going swimming, but I did wear the bikini top to take Lucy for her walk ;) With a tank top over it though!

Sunday I ran 8.25 miles, broken into 2 parts because after 3 miles outside, it was way WAY too hot so I went to the gym for the other 5 (.25) miles.

Monday was 40 minutes on the Arc Trainer
Tuesday was a 3.25 mile run
Wednesday was a 3.4 mile run
Thursday (today) was 40 minutes on the Arc Trainer
Friday (tomorrow) is a 3 mile run
Saturday is a rest day
Sunday will be a 10 mile run

This morning's weigh-in was 118.0

FPC Day 2

Another 72oz water day! And again, I ended up under on my calorie goal. Today was for a different reason though- it was hell day at work and I just didn't have time to do more than throw stuff in the microwave pre- and post- workout. I was planning on a veggie burger w/guacamole on a sandwich thin at lunch, and then when I didn't have time I just figured I'd have it for dinner with my salad. But I had to stop at the grocery store on my way home, and my food prep took a lot longer than expected. I'm trying to eat the salad while typing this up but I'm really not even that hungry. Must be all the water ;)


Workout today was 20 minutes on the stationary bike (5 miles) followed with 20 minutes ST (one set of 12-16 reps around the circuit room).  Tomorrow I think I'm going to do the Arc Trainer. I'm really trying to NOT run before Monday. Better safe than sorry, right?!

I didn't get a chance to look at everyone's blog/food today because I was so busy at work. Hopefully I'll be able to play catch up tomorrow. Be well, everyone!

New challenge starts tomorrow! And I ran today!

Starting tomorrow I'll be taking a picture of everything that goes into my mouth, BEFORE it goes in :) I created an Instagram account just for the challenge, so you can click on the little camera icon over there --> or go to my Food Photo Challenge page. Today at the gym I did 30 minutes on the Arc Trainer. That thing is a great workout! When I was done I still had a few minutes before I had to get back to work, so I jumped on the treadmill and ran for 2 whole pain-free minutes! I'm still gonna give it a few more days, but I'm definitely on the mend!

Family Reunion Weekend

I ran 6 days last week! No long runs but I did 3.25 miles on Sunday, 3.55 miles on Monday, 3.4 miles on Tuesday, 3.25 miles on Wednesday, 2 miles on Thursday, and 3.5 miles on Friday.

Saturday we got up early, dropped Lucy off at doggie daycare and headed to Virginia to see my dad. It was 4 hours to get there, we stayed 4 hours, and then 4 hours to get back home. My brother's family also went, and we had a really nice day!

Needless to say, I was so exhausted that I spent the entire day Sunday in bed, just vegging out and watching TV. I never even turned on the computer. Lucy was wiped out from playing with the other dogs all day Saturday, so her and Bogey stayed in bed with me :)


Today was right back to work. I went to the gym at lunch and got in a much needed run. I had to take it easy though, since I had another one of those weird weak/dizzy episodes in the shower this morning, and my equilibrium has been "off" all day. One more week until I get the blood work done and find out what the hell is going on. Ugh.

Ten Things Thursday (continued)

Alrighty then, I feel much better now :)

4. Went to the gym and ran 3.4 miles in 35 minutes. Took it nice and easy, and now I feel pretty good! I look like a hot mess, but here's my new NMA tshirt!

8. I have a question. For those of you who post your trackers on your blogs (i.e., LoseIt, WW, etc) how do you do that? Like, if I have an app on my iPhone that I want to get a picture of here, how would I go about that. Yes, I'm rather blog-illiterate.

9. Lucy is much more photogenic than me, so here are a few recent pics of her. Doesn't she look like a porn star in the first pic?! I love how she sleeps with one arm up in the air!

10. Are any of you doing anything special this weekend? My husband and his family are catholic (I'm a non-practicing jew), so I got sucked into Easter plans. We are going to hubby's moms and I have to figure out something to make. I volunteered to work tomorrow since I've missed so much time during the past couple weeks, so I'll have to throw something together either tomorrow night or Saturday morning.  I saw a recipe for deviled eggs that look like little chicks, so I might try to make something creative like that, but without eggs. Maybe potatoes. I'll let you know if whatever it is turns out good!

Ten Things Thursday

I don't know if I have ten things but let's see how it goes :)

  1. Laura Belle posted a picture of what she considers a messy desk. Ha! Let me show you what a messy desk looks like! Yes, there are 3 different coffee cups, all in use. Don't judge. And yes, I like frogs :)

     

  2. I ended up staying home from work yesterday, but came back today. I'm still not 100% but I am feeling quite a bit better. I think I've been dehydrated so I'm trying to drink more water. I suck at drinking water (other than inside my coffee). 

  3. I haven't ran since I went to the doctor last week. Today is 7 days. Today I am going back to the gym and no matter how slow I have to go I am getting a run in. Actually, I'm going right now so I'll come back and finish this later...
